Lesley Holmes
“I help people build lives, brands, and businesses that feel more alive, more aligned, and more deeply their own.”
I've spent more than two decades building brands, leading teams, and studying people.
But they were never separate for me. Every brand I built, every campaign I launched, every product I positioned, underneath it was always the same question: what makes people believe? What moves them? What brings something fully to life?
As a former CMO, I've led marketing, brand strategy, creative, product development, and merchandising across DTC and retail. From pre-seed startups to companies exceeding $250M, I've launched category-defining products, built and led teams of 50+, and helped founders bring visions to life that didn't yet have language. At two different companies, I was independently given the same nickname: The Oracle. I've stopped trying to explain it and started leaning into it.
But the truth is, what made me effective in business was never just strategy. It was this: I see patterns others miss. I feel when something is off before anyone has named it. I understand people — what they want, what they fear, what they're actually asking for — at a level that has less to do with market research and more to do with a lifelong obsession with human nature.
That obsession ran alongside my career the entire time. For over 25 years, I've been immersed in meditation, neuroscience, psychology, somatic practices, mindset, fitness, energy work, and spiritual study. Not as a counterbalance to the work. As infrastructure for it.
Then my own life asked me to apply everything I knew from the inside out.
After years of operating at a relentless pace, I hit a wall — anxiety, depression, burnout, serious health issues and the particular emptiness that comes from looking successful while feeling deeply disconnected from yourself.
Stepping away wasn't a retreat. It was an excavation. I went deeper into neuroscience and nervous system work, into the mechanics of transformation, wellbeing and lasting change, into the question of what actually allows people, and organizations to grow in ways that last.
That experience didn't change what I do. It changed how I see.
Beneath The Gloss is where it all comes together.
Today, whether I'm working with a founder, a leadership team, or an individual, I'm ultimately doing the same thing: helping unlock potential, remove what's in the way, and create the conditions for meaningful growth. Today I don't separate business from human behavior, strategy from the inner world of the people executing it, or leadership from the condition of the person doing the leading. I partner with people at inflection points, building something new, navigating a reinvention, or sensing that something isn't working but they can’t quite name it. I work with individuals ready to stop wearing someone else's version of their life and step into the one that's actually theirs.
Sometimes that looks like a Go To Market strategy. Sometimes it's transformational coaching. Sometimes it's a workshop that shifts how a team operates. Often, it’s several of those things at once.
The strongest organizations are built by leaders who know who they are, what their brand stands for, and who it's meant to serve. Lasting transformation, whether inside a company or a person's life, happens when vision, identity, behavior, and action begin moving in the same direction.
I believe every founder, every leader, every organization, and every person contains more potential than they're currently expressing.
My work is helping uncover it, remove what's standing in the way, and create the conditions for it to come fully to life.
I believe the future belongs to organizations where performance, creativity, wellbeing, and commercial success no longer compete with one another. They reinforce each other.
And to people who have the courage to pursue joy, meaning, and their fullest potential without sacrificing themselves in the process.

Mission
“While I once focused on building beauty brands, my work now is about bringing more life, energy, beauty, and meaning into brands, businesses, and the people who lead them."
“As a startup founder, I’m constantly navigating unpredictable stressors, and keeping my mental health steady is essential. Lesley has a rare ability to help me recalibrate when things feel off, and I often find myself reaching for the tools she’s helped me develop.
After nearly two decades of working with her, I can say with confidence: Lesley is one of the sharpest, most intuitive people I know. Her background in marketing gives her a deep grasp of business dynamics, but what truly sets her apart is her ability to zoom out, spot what’s not working, and zero in on exactly how to fix it.”
